Lyle Craigs Hill Walking Club is affiliated to the Mountaineering Council of Scotland (MCoS) and currently has 37 members.
We're not a rambling club and we're not a mountaineering club (so we don't do abseiling or use ropes or do graded climbs beyond easy - yet!), we're somewhere in-between. We have a varied programme of walks but with now 4 members who have completed all 284 Munros (one of them twice!) the walks usually include a Munro. Outwith the summer months however we also take in Corbetts and other lower level walks. The key thing with the walks is to have fun, maintain old friendships and make new ones. We are happy to welcome new members. It costs £20 per calendar year to join and your fee includes a subscription to the MCoS (go to their web-site to see the benefits). We usually ask that you attend a few walks before offering full memberships and this tends to work well for everyone concerned. The 2007 programme is on another page in the web site.
